I am Rodrigo Chaves, a cybersecurity professional based in Orlando, Florida, with more than two decades of experience across enterprise technology and security.
My journey
Curiosity became a career.
My career in technology began more than two decades ago, working directly with networks, infrastructure, and enterprise systems. Over time, that experience evolved into a broader focus on cybersecurity, particularly identity, access, endpoint protection, Zero Trust, and hybrid environments.
Throughout this journey, I have worked with large and complex organizations, including companies recognized as leaders in their respective industries. My career has also given me the opportunity to operate across different countries and cultural contexts, collaborating with professionals, customers, and technical teams around the world.
These experiences have broadened my perspective and reinforced my belief that effective security must account for technology, people, business priorities, and operational realities.

I enjoy working on complex problems where technology, risk, and people intersect. That often means understanding how an environment actually operates, identifying the issues that matter most, and turning highly technical findings into practical recommendations that different audiences can understand and act upon.
My perspective has been shaped by experience on both sides of the table: operating technology within large organizations and advising enterprise customers through security and modernization decisions.

Sharing knowledge has been another important part of my professional journey. I have delivered technical workshops and training to hundreds of professionals and customers, and I have had the opportunity to mentor others as they developed their skills and navigated their careers in technology.
